OUR STORY

It started with one Salty Cribb.

What began with one beloved place in Feltzen South has grown into four distinctive coastal homes, each with its own character but all connected by the same idea: create beautiful, comfortable places where people can slow down, come together and experience this remarkable corner of Nova Scotia.

The Salty Cribb was never meant to feel like a collection of vacation rentals. These are homes we've found, restored, reimagined and filled with the things we love about being here—the ocean, the landscape, the history and the easy way people seem to gather on the South Shore.

And somewhere along the way, this place became part of our story too.

And somewhere along the way, we got married here too.

THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE CRIBB

We're Melissa & Rob.

Melissa is an interior designer and real estate expert with a love and knack for discovering those unsung hero properties and breathing new life. A small town girl who fell in love with a Nova Scotian boy and continued to tumble head over feet for the south shore, the ocean air, the views, but most of all the people that make this place home.

Rob is a journalist and a musician from Halifax. His work took him away for a time, but his heart and future was always rooted in Nova Scotia.

Together we started putting down roots, rebuilding, salvaging, and honouring the tradition and history of Feltzen South.

The Salty Cribb has grown along with us. What started with one house has become four, along with a place for gatherings, retreats and all the other reasons people find to come together.

We're still building the dream. We're just lucky enough to share it.
