Situated on a private stretch of sandy Atlantic ocean, adjacent to famed Spindler Beach, this is your own oceanfront oasis. This is the original Salty Cribb and is our family favourite. The home itself has a cosy cottage feel with spaces that encourage time together to reconnect. The primary bedroom views are unparalleled with cotton candy coloured sunrises and breathtaking sunsets. We’ve added outdoor spaces like the social shed, with bar fridge, BBQ and dining area. The fire pit is perfectly situated to have views of the ocean from one of 6 locally made Adirondack chairs. The front deck with pergola and twinkly lights is perfect for morning coffee or evening cocktails. What can we say, we’re smitten.

“This is a great find on the South Shore. The beach at South Feltzen was a hidden gem; where my family and I spent hours reading, kayaking and relaxing. The house was gorgeous and the sunrises unforgettable. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. And the Rose Bay General store about 5km away has great breakfast sandwiches, pizza and everything else you could need with very friendly workers.”

“Wow. Wow. Wow. The Salty Cribb provides such a calm, relaxed, comfy, and cozy time at Rose Bay. Rose Bay is a very easy place to fall in love with, but this home made it a truly wonderful experience. We loved every inch of this home; the big comfy couch, the marble island, the dining room warmth and feeling of togetherness, the wallpaper in the upstairs (and downstairs) bathroom, the deck and chairs (great place to sit with a coffee and look at the view/boats), the comfy beds, the updated windows... what haven’t I mentioned. It is incredibly clean and organized. There isn’t anything that our wonderful host hasn’t thought of. Everything seemed so perfect (cliche but true). There is plenty to do and see in the area and wonderful walks where you are very likely to see 10-20 deer!!! I hope that we have many more stays at The Salty Cribb. It’s a truly wonderful Maritime retreat. Thank you for sharing it with us.”

Perfect in every way

“Our stay at the Salty Cribb was perfect in every way. The cottage truly has everything you'll need. Morning coffees while watching the sunrise were a great way to start the day. Up next was relaxing on the private beach, swimming or kayaking. I can assure you that all were thoroughly enjoyed. Lunenburg and the Ovens are close by and highly recommended for a day trip. The Bayport pub is nearby and the seafood was the best we've had in a long time. The backyard is setup perfectly with a fire pit, seating, lighting and "the shed". We loved every minute of our stay at the Salty Cribb and can't wait to return.”
